Who we are. Setas Corp., doing business as Setas Botanicals ("Setas," "we," "us," or "our"), operates setasbotanicals.com (the "Site"). Questions about this Policy or requests about your information you can get in touch with us by visiting our contact page.
The short version. We collect the information needed to process your orders, run our store, and market our products. Some of that collection uses cookies and similar technologies from Shopify, Klaviyo, Google and Meta. We load analytics and advertising technologies only after you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choices at any time. We do not sell your information for money. The sections below give the details.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Contact and account details: name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and account login details.
- Order details: products purchased, order history, discount codes used, and delivery information.
- Communications: messages you send through our contact form, email or phone, plus survey responses and promotion entries.
- Business forms: information you submit through our Wholesale or Influencer forms.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments. Your full card number goes directly to the payment processor. We do not see or store it. We receive limited details such as the card type, the last four digits and the billing address.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, we and our service providers collect:
- Device and browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and language
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Pages and products you view, links you click, items you add to your cart, search activity, and whether you complete a purchase
- The website or ad that referred you
- Dates and times of your visits
- Cookie and device identifiers
Information from other sources. We receive information from Shopify (our store platform), payment and fraud-prevention providers, shipping carriers, and advertising platforms, such as whether an ad led to a purchase.
What we do not want collected. We do not ask you for health information, and please do not enter it in any form, search box or message to us. We do not send the text you type into our search box or forms to advertising platforms. The only exception is when you sign up for our emails or texts, in which case your contact details go to our email service provider, Klaviyo, to fulfill your request.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process and deliver orders, handle returns, and provide customer support
- To create and manage your account
- To send order and account messages, which you cannot opt out of while you have an active order or account
- To send marketing emails and or texts: If you have signed up, with an unsubscribe option in every message
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it
- To measure and improve our advertising, and to show our ads on other websites and apps, where you have allowed this
- To detect fraud, secure the Site, and enforce our terms
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We also use pixels, tags, software development kits and server-to-server connections that work like cookies. Here is what we use, in four categories.
Strictly necessary. These keep your cart, checkout, login and site security working. They load automatically and cannot be turned off in our banner. They are set by Shopify and our other providers that make the store function.
Analytics. We use Shopify Analytics and or Google Analytics to see which pages and products are popular and how visitors move through the Site. These collect page views, clicks, device information, IP-derived location and cookie identifiers. They load only after you accept analytics cookies.
Advertising and marketing. These load only after you accept advertising cookies:
- Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API (Facebook and Instagram). The Pixel runs in your browser. The Conversions API sends events from our servers to Meta. Both may share standard shopping events (such as a page view, product view, add to cart, checkout start and purchase) along with identifiers such as your IP address, browser details, and, for purchases, your email address or phone number in scrambled ("hashed") form. Meta uses this to measure and target our ads.
- Google Ads and Google Analytics advertising features. These collect similar activity and cookie identifiers so we can measure ads and show you ads based on your visits to our Site.
- Vibe Streaming & Connected TV: The Pixel runs in your browser. The Conversions API sends events from our servers to Vibe. Both may share standard shopping events (such as a page view, product view, add to cart, checkout start and purchase) along with identifiers such as your IP address, browser details, and, for purchases, your email address or phone number in scrambled ("hashed") form. Vibe uses this to measure and target our ads.
Email and customer engagement. Klaviyo may use cookies and tracking links to recognize returning visitors, record which of our emails you open and click, and tie your Site activity to your subscriber profile so we can send relevant messages. Klaviyo tracking of your browsing activity on the Site loads only after you accept marketing cookies, or after you submit your email to us or click a link in one of our emails.
Your choices about cookies
- Cookie banner: Choose Accept or Decline when you first visit. You can reopen it at any time through the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer.
- Global Privacy Control: If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale, sharing and targeted advertising uses of your information.
- Do Not Track: There is no common standard for Do Not Track signals, so we do not respond to them. We do respond to GPC as described above.
- Browser settings and industry tools: You can block cookies in your browser, use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and opt out of interest-based ads at https://www.aboutads.info/choices. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.
4. How We Share Information
Service providers. We share information with companies that help us run the store: Shopify (store hosting and checkout), payment processors, Klaviyo (email and or SMS), shipping and fulfillment partners, fraud-prevention and security tools, customer support tools, and web development and marketing agencies working on our behalf. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
Advertising partners. If you accept advertising cookies, we share the online activity and identifiers described in Section 3 with Meta and Google. Under some state laws, this counts as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, "targeted advertising," or a "sale." We do not sell your information in exchange for money. You can opt out at any time using the options in Section 6.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety and property of Setas, our customers, or others.
Business changes. If Setas is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the new owner to honor this Policy or give you notice of changes.
With your direction. We share information when you ask us to.
5. How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, including to fulfill orders, meet tax, accounting and legal requirements, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Order records are generally kept for example 7 years. Marketing subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Cookie data expires according to the settings of each tool.
6. Your Privacy Choices
- Cookies and ad targeting: Use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer, or send a GPC signal.
- Marketing emails: Click "unsubscribe" in any email, or contact us.
- Marketing texts: Reply STOP to any message.
- Sale, sharing and targeted advertising: Use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" option in the footer of our site.

California disclosures (past 12 months). We collected these categories: identifiers (name, email, address, IP address, online identifiers); commercial information (purchase history); internet or network activity (browsing and interaction with the Site and ads); approximate geolocation; and customer records (contact and shipping details). We collected them from you, your devices, Shopify, and our service providers and advertising partners. We use them for the purposes in Section 2. We disclosed identifiers, commercial information, internet activity and approximate location to service providers, and, where you accepted advertising cookies, identifiers, internet activity and commercial information to advertising partners (Meta and Google) in a way that may be a "sale" or "sharing." We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 18. California residents may also ask once a year which categories of personal information we shared with third parties for their direct marketing purposes (California Civil Code Section 1798.83).
Nevada residents may opt out of the "sale" of certain information by visiting our contact us page. We do not sell information for money.
Consumer health data (Washington, Nevada and similar laws). Some states treat information that could reveal a person's interest in health-related products as "consumer health data." We do not ask about your health, and we do not use or share this kind of information for advertising unless you have given consent where the law requires it. You may ask us to access or delete it using the request process above.
Financial incentives. If you sign up for our emails, we may offer a discount on your first order. The value of your information to us is the ability to send you marketing messages. You may withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.
8. Children
Our Site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, and our checkout is handled by Shopify's secure systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away.
